There was no shortage of creative folks and art lovers Sunday
afternoon at artist, Ife Nii Owoo’s opening reception exhibit “Ancestry in
Transition". The event was held at the Molefi Kete Asante (MKA) Institute
on Germantown Avenue
in Philadelphia, PA. Ife studied African Visual Arts at the Institute of African Studies
in Accra, Ghana,
and lived in London, England
and Africa. Her beautiful and colorful collages
and mixed media assemblages depict African American culture. Her work is for
sale and will be on display at the MKA institute until April 24, 2013. For
