Remembering Geoffrey Holder

Dancer, Painter, and Actor Geoffrey Holder, dies at 84

Geoffrey Holder, the iconic artist, dancer, and actor has died at the age of 84. Born in Trinidad, in 1930, he started dancing at an early age and soon made his way to Broadway. He won two Tony awards and also starred in several movies. He was 6-foot-6 yet graceful as a feather and his articulate and bellowing voice was well recognized. He had an extensive African art collection and he and his wife dancer Carmen De Lavallade, auctioned off some of it at Sotheby’s in  the last 1990’s. May he rest in peace.
