Franklin Flea Market

The Franklin Flea at Head House Square in Philadelphia over the weekend was all about recycle, reuse, re-purpose and handmade. It was a beautiful day to rummage through the spaces and get ideas. From bookbinding to redesigned antique furniture to handmade shoes. It proved that creativity is alive and well. I am looking forward to the next one. Franklin Flea

ODUNDE

ODUNDE is an annual African centered celebration in Philadelphia. The name Odunde comes from the Yoruba people of Nigeria in celebration of the new year.  Odunde is the largest one day street festival on the east coast of the United States. This year marked their 40^th anniversary and while the weather was a little hot, there was art, food, African goods, entertainment and fun for all.
