London Design Festival

The London Design Festival is coming up this weekend, September 14 - 22   2013.  This annual event, promotes London as the design capital of the world, and as the gateway to the international creative community. The festival features over 300 exhibitions and events from around the globe. It’s a design lover’s fete.

Add Birdbath with Statue to watch over fish

Make Your Own Birdbath Centerpiece

An old bird bath got a new centerpiece by waterproofing an inexpensive piece of African Art we found at Pier One. We bought a terracotta flower pot base with a hole in the center and screwed in the statue. Then we sprayed it with a waterproofing material we found at Loews. We added some rocks from the dollar store and spread them around the base and then placed it in the center of the birdbath. It seems to be holding up well with all the rain we have been getting in the northeast. This was a very easy and enjoyable DIY project.
