Add Birdbath with Statue to watch over fish

Make Your Own Birdbath Centerpiece

An old bird bath got a new centerpiece by waterproofing an inexpensive piece of African Art we found at Pier One. We bought a terracotta flower pot base with a hole in the center and screwed in the statue. Then we sprayed it with a waterproofing material we found at Loews. We added some rocks from the dollar store and spread them around the base and then placed it in the center of the birdbath. It seems to be holding up well with all the rain we have been getting in the northeast. This was a very easy and enjoyable DIY project.

While riding downtown Philadelphia with a friend, we saw a craft fair going on at 30^th St Station. We

brake for anything artistic. There we met Charlene Heard, of  WUNOF Creations (pronounced "One of") . Charlene is a talented artist with a passion for preserving natural resources and re-purposing objects. Her colorful creative works are truly ONE OF A KIND. Check her out on ETSY @ WUNOF Creations.

The Brooklyn Flea comes to Philly!

For the first time the Brooklyn Flea launched flea market outside of New York City in Philadelphia on June 2, 2013, at The Piazza in Northern Liberties. Just like the original Brooklyn Flea Market, the Philly market will have dozens of  vendors selling antiques and repurposed furniture, vintage clothing, collectibles and so much more as well as crafts by local artisans and designers, plus delicious fresh food.
